American Idol last night
OMG, I love technology! I woke up this morning and heard on the radio that last night I missed a performance on American Idol for their big charity show with Celine Dion and the holographic Elvis Presley duet! Now that’s something very cool. Had to look that up. For those who missed it like me, here ya go:

a quiet gray day
Last night my parents came over to sit with the kids while Isaac and I went to middle school orientation.
Middle school! Aaahhhhh I’m way too young for this. LOL Well they ended up taking Kate home to spend the night. I got grand ideas about getting a lot done today but I ended up being quite lazy and really enjoyed the quiet time. Now I am scrambling to get some work done. Thought I’d take a break to post some silly stuff that I think about and enjoy.
First, a confession. I love The Office. It’s a total guilty pleasure. Kind of gets a bit raunchy but it’s just so hilarious that I am forgiving. Same thing with Craig Ferguson. I have lots of favorite clips and this morningI ran across a blurb on a blog that led to watching youtube clips for an hour. I thought I’d share this clip of dancing because I’ve watched it over and over on the DVD and now on youtube and it does not fail to crack me up still.
So my VERY favorite thing about the show is, John Krasinski makes the funniest faces to the camera crew that follows the office around. It’s such a quirky thing that they have this camera crew documenting them! The play off the camera is the best. And someone put together this montage of Jim Halpert’s (John’s character name) camera faces. Love it! And well, how adorable are John’s curls?!
Can you see I’m liking that I’ve learned to share videos on my new wordpress blog?! I’m lovin’ how easy this is.

Love you mom!
The day is coming to an end but I just have to get this very important message in.
Today is my mom’s birthday! I’m very blessed to have an understanding mom who wants good things for me. My mom is so kind and has really modeled servanthood to me. I wish I was better at servanthood but I can’t say she didn’t teach it.

As usual, I was wrong
Sorry, I don’t have any photos of Kate’s birthday to share. I haven’t even gotten to look at them to know if they turned out. My batteries are dead. I only had alkaline and they zap so fast. I will have to get another pack of rechargeable. We only have 3 rechargables on the shelf and my camera takes 4. darn!
Kate really enjoyed her day and has been very preoccupied with her new toys. Lots of play time with her new barbie computer and her Loving Family doll house furniture. And of course, riding her new bike. It’s a really cute one. And Kate having a big girl bike finally encouraged Aleah to learn to ride her bike! Eric taught her yesterday.
Just a couple things to share today then. First my new favorite gum. The nice weather is here and I’m very upset and dealing with low self esteem because my clothes don’t fit! arg! I’ve been fat my whole life and it’s just really gotten old. I’ve gained quite a bit of weight back since last summer. So I am in starvation mode and this gum is really helping me get through.
Trident Cool Colada. Not a good “I need fresh breath” gum but definitely good for an “I’m hungry, this is a good taste” gum.
I’m also taking zantrex diet pills. Right now I am just struggling to get used to the caffeine in them. I don’t get a whole lot of caffeine in my diet so I’m dealing with headaches until my body gets used to this. I do get a nice increase of energy so that’s good.
And I got this blinkie from Katie the Scrapbook Lady so I’m pretty sure the news is out.
I am going to be helping Katie with her newsletter. Working on it this week in fact and it’s very cool that she’s joining us at The Digi Shoppe as one of the new designers in the shoppe because now it’ll be even easier to work together! whooo Way to go Katie!

I’ll keep babbling
Loving my new wordpress blog so I thought I’d come back and babble some more! hee hee So I couldn’t sleep again last night and I cleared out over 500 messages from my inbox from just this week alone. Dang! Found some important things I have overlooked. I get a lot of email so if you ever contact me and I don’t get back to you about something in the next couple days, don’t hesitate to try me again or catch me on hello. Kind of hit or miss with me.
After I cleared out those emails, I decided to clear out some of the bookmarks I’ve created. Webpages I always meant to go back to but never have. I have a lot of online shopping websites. I’m a girl what can I say!? I came across this product that just cracks me up. Had to share these guitar ice cube trays from Patina in the kitschy kitchen section. I love that section… especially the funny animal products. Good conversation pieces if you like goofy. oh the goofy things I’d buy if i had money to waste!

** tomorrow we party** Kate’s excited that tomorrow is her “play party” for her birthday. She’s milking her birthday for all it’s worth. A girl after my own heart. So I’m going to head out to the store today and get stuff for goodie bags and dessert and stuff. I should be cleaning the girls room. I’ll have them pick up some but what’s the point?! So Sunday if I can get my camera setting figured out, I’ll have new photos to share from her happy day.
** warning: scrapbook related** if you have no interest, you can stop reading now. Just wanted to give my customers a heads up that Lena Brandenburg just put out a newsletter and let me put in a little 30% off coupon to my store. Go here for more info.
ENABLE alert: Did you see Janet Phillip’s blog today? Must have product. She has just released the fat pack 2 which is 45, yes 45 more layered templates. Good gravy! I want.

I really have nothing meaningful to say.I did read this today. “The meaning of life is life with meaning.” Think on that.

3 bright smiles :)
The kids enjoyed their dentist visits yesterday. All three have healthy, cavity free smiles. Yay!
** tap tap**
Countryside Christian Church is doing a campaign that kicked off Sunday called H20 Africa. They have partnered with Blood Water Mission to raise funds build wells for clean water in Africa. You can read more about it at their website there. This is an “above and beyond” giving meaning above a regular tithe. We’ve been asked to drink nothing but tap water for the next two weeks and then take the money that we would have spent on sodas, bottled waters, juice, and Starbucks (that adds up fast for people that do that daily) and give it to the funds for building a well. If you know me, I drink primarily water so I thought this was going to be easy for me but nope, no bottled water. I DETEST tap water. Tastes so gross. ButI’m doing it! And the kids are doing it too. Kate not as happily. I really am not pushing her since she doesn’t really understand at her age. “Africa what?” LOL The church gave out these black wristband reminders. Think “Live Strong” bands. Kate has repeatedly said she wants to give her black band back to the church! HA HA We’re only 4 days in and it’s going to be a long week and a half to go. But the right attitude is thank you God that we have clean water in our country and we really take it for granted.
** brag brag** Just wanted to tease that I know who the new designers coming to The Digi Shoppe are but I’m not spilling! May 1st is the expected launch of a new look and fresh feel at TDS and we’re getting quite excited. Also, if you have not beento the forums lately, you should check it out. The joint is jumping! I love smaller store forums because they are far easier to keep up with than DST which is huge. There are some great challenges going on and when you complete the challenge you can earn a freebie item or some challenges give out store points to earn $$$ in the store. So go on over and check it out.
** I never… ** One of the games going on right now at the Digi Shoppe forums is “I never”. We’re also playing it over at Dani’s creative team. It’s really funny. Basically someone says something they have never done and if you have done that thing you would say you have and come up with a new “I never”. I thought for fun I’d list 5 of the recent ones listed that I have never done.
1. I have never poached an egg.
2. I have never been to a class reunion. We just had one two years ago and I said no thanks.
3. I have never been in a casino.
4. I have never lived on my own.
5. I have never been to Hawaii but hope to go someday.
Have you done any of these?

Hip hip hooray!

Kate turned 4 today! I’ve been giving her a count down all week. But can’t believe I missed yesterday. LOL So this morning she was the last to wake up. We’re standing in the kitchen while her breakfast was cooking and I realized, I was about to be the first to tell her it was her birthday! What fun! She high fived me and we jumped up and down in excitement.
Daddy just came home from lunch and brought her a donut covered in sprinkles. No surprise, she is pleased.
In other news, today the kids go to the dentist. I’m extremely nervous about Aleah’s teeth. I know she has cavities but they are in baby teeth so hopefully the extent of the damage is not too bad. But she really needs work on brushing her teeth. We have shown her over and over. Kind of anxious to see how things go for Kate. This will be her first dental visit. I know she’ll be ready to go in because last week when the other kids had vision checks, she was not happy that she didn’t get her vision checked too. You know she can do anything they can do!
I completely forgot I was going to see if Eric wanted to meet up somewhere to take Kate to lunch. Really, the day is just flying by.
Monday Aleah starts swim lessons finally! Aunt Maria has generously helped us out with the cost. Aleah took swim lessons when she was three but it was more water play for her. I’m really curious to see how she does. Starting to cover this in prayer because she has a little bit of fear. but I keep reminding her that they want to spend a lot of time at the beach this summer and it’s time she knew how to swim so we can do that.
In scrapbooking news, I am beginning to work on my Digi Shoppe sampler for May. I have no inspiration. Send me some good vibes please. All I really want to do lately is scrapbook. Forget responsibility. I’m sick of it. I want to play play play! <grins>
One more thing. Last night when I couldn’t sleep, I went on a search for a photography site I ran across last year. Found it. Check this guy out. Randy Bacon I’ve got some more photography sites in my bookmarks that I will add to my blog roll over there on the right when I get some extra time this week. I just love photography. Now if I could only learn my camera. LOL
Ok, over and out

better late than never!
I can’t sleep.
I’m browsing my photographs because I know I should work on them, recoloring and what not. And I came across the Easter photos. For the most part, a major disappointment. Extremely grainy. It’s disturbing how badly these turned out. But it’s my own darn fault. I can’t concentrate long enough to read the manual. I’ve tried repeatedly since we got the new camera. Stinks to have a short attention span.
But I did get some good photos when the crew was outside hunting for eggs. Eric’s mom did a wonderful egg hunt for the kids. She said there were 140 eggs in the house alone and many more outside. Everyone got a ton of goodies. Nobody ever did find the $10 golden egg. And oh did they look. We scoured that house from top to bottom so we’re all very interested to find out where it is. I really admire my mother in law for letting people rummage through her entire house. I would never have the nerve! LOL
Here are a few photos. I like this one of Isaac because if you look closely, you’ll notice he is carrying a little twix bar in his right hand. I love twix bars and my sweet children lovingly shared theirs with me. Sweetness

fresh start
Looks like I’m going to get a fresh start with this blog at wordpress. I tried to import my blogger account which is hosted on my own domain and nothing was importable. I could have imported my “forgotten” blog but there’s no point in that since I forgot it!
Did you see this…
I have to give a shout out to Miss Tiina who made me this fabulous new banner. You may have seen at DigiShopTalk. I think it’s so cute and one of my favorite and most popular kits, Clothesline Couture. Tiina was a really fast worker and just has a really cool store. I highly recommend her work!
And I also want to give a shout out to the twisters!
I’m having a really great time seeing the layouts scraplifted from my layout, Chocolate Bunny. over at Lifts with a Twist. Here are a couple faves. I gotta put my girl Kylie up first. One of my creative team members and she did a real bang up job. Crawling.

and I love this one by Nikki, Crunchy Apple.

I also want to share gorgeous layout by the great, Dani Mogstad. Sweet Lollipop. Go leave her some love. This is what you call pink perfection! And it doesn’t help that her daughter has got to be one of THE cutest kids I’ve ever seen… next to my own of course
Just a little eye candy for ya today.
